On the one hand, the D2H group is a homage to Joseph Haydn, who valued the genre of the piano trio very highly.
Not for nothing did he compose 39 piano trios and by so doing influenced and advanced this genre to an unprecedented extent.
On the other hand, the 18 new compositions by the D2H group are a very special example of international cooperation and, of course, increase the piano trio literature. We hope that the 18 new works will be performed often, even after 2009, whether in their entirety as a group, in selection or individually.
